Alexander Nguyen, MPH Candidate, traveled with the USC Global Impact Program to develop large scale puppet shows incorporating issues of health and hygiene to empower the community through entertainment and the arts. Alex and the USC team worked with an NGO and local teachers to cast local children and start a drama club to facilitate the health promoting puppet shows. Robert McCann, Associate Professor at Marshall School of Business, is coordinating a Global Health & Business competition as part of Marshall's Communication Strategy in Business class (BUAD 302). Through the competition, students will organize and deliver a persuasive team presentation by integrating global health knowledge for a chance to win $2,500. The competitive student presentation project brings together CIBER (Dr. Richard Drobnick), Marshall’s Center for Management Communication (Dr. Robert M. McCann, Dr. Yolanda Kirk, Dr. Steve Werber, and other interested faculty), and USC’s Institute of Global Health (Dr. Jonathan Samet and Dr. Heather Wipfli).
