First Visions for Change lecture series keynote
speaker Dr. Al Sommer was a hit!

Who knew that a man could save over six million lives worldwide? Who knew that a man could find a cure to night blindness? Who knew that single man could accomplish so much? Well now we all do! Al Sommer came to USC on September 15th and 16th to kick off our new lecture series which will be held every month. He spoke to us about his extensive research, the struggles to get it widely accepted by the public health field, and the vast success it has brought to saving many children from night blindness. He shared his favorites quotes with USC students such as "chance favors prepared minds," and he answered questions from them while sharing his journeys around the world.
Videos of Dr. Sommer's lecture and student interviews will be posted on globalhealth.usc.edu soon!
